LOLA

LOLA

Sharing is caring! Spread the love by spreading the word.

Meet Lola! She is a 9-month-old kitten full of cattitude.

She may be the smallest in her litter, but she has the biggest personality!

Her human mama, Katherine, tells us all about Lola in her own words below.

Humble Beginnings

Lola was one of four kittens born to a stray cat named Teardrop.

Teardrop brought all four to our backyard.

We gathered up all of them and put them in a double cage on our deck.

It was then that we realized that one kitten was half the size of the others.

We knew that this little furball wouldn’t survive unless we stepped in and brought this little bundle inside.

Being so small, our vet wasn’t sure she would survive but we gave her lots of love, wrapping her in a cuddle blanket, giving her bottles of kitten milk, and introducing her to our other six cats.

She became a member of our family when she got her new collar and name tag; just like all the rest.

A Few of Her Favorite Things

If Lola isn’t sleeping on one of the cat posts or finding a sunspot to stretch out in, she’s running full speed from one end of the house to the other.

She especially loves trying to tackle our big boy Dominic by wrapping her legs around his neck.

Her favorite snacks are food of any kind…soft, hard, treats and occasionally begging for ours.

She’ll climb up on a kitchen chair and wait patiently when we sit down to eat, hoping to get a little taste.

Her favorite toys are fuzzy mice with catnip and sparkly balls attached to a string that can be swung back and forth, the faster the better.

When the day is done she’ll climb up in our lap and then follow one of us when we go to bed so she can snuggle up and go to sleep.

How Has Lola Made a Difference in Your Life?

We both love all creatures but especially cats and kittens.

We hadn’t planned on adding any more to the ones inside but couldn’t ignore her, knowing she wouldn’t make it otherwise.

She gave us a purpose and joy in watching her survive and knowing that we were part of that happening.

Her antics keep us laughing, and her unconditional love warms our hearts.

Having her and our other “kids” makes life so worthwhile.
